Skincare Routine
Despite what anyone thinks, all the hot girls pretend they’re doing their skincare routine for vogue beauty secrets. However extravagant or simple, skincare should feel like luxury. Taking the time out of your day and/or night to do a routine should feel luxurious and special. The skin is the largest organ in our body. In 2018, I decided to treat this organ like the unique gem it is. Why shouldn’t we take care of it? Watching hours upon hours of skincare videos, learning about pimples, pores, skin barrier, and skin types. Absorbing all this information, I felt as if I was armed with the skills to treat my skin and start taking care of it for years to come.
If you are just getting started, take note, simplicity is key. Crafting a skincare routine is no easy feat by any means. The foundation of all skincare routines lies within 4 steps (cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen). If you can find these 4 products, you are golden! If you still don’t know where to go from here, don’t worry babe, I’ve got you covered.
Choosing the right products begins with your skin type, and from there your preferences and budget. After you have mastered the foundation, you can begin to incorporate products that treat any issues your skin may be experiencing. Although now babe, we will start things off slow and build your foundation. In this upcoming series, I will take you from novice to master. For a treat, I will provide you a glimpse into my current skincare routine, and tips below.
This curated routine is for my dry skin, dehydrated acne-prone girls. My skin is thirsty, so I opt for more hydrating products by utilizing a hydrating toner like the Heritage Store Rosewater Toner and a hydrating serum such as Peach and Lily’s Glass Skin Serum, and sometimes a skin mist to refresh like the La Roche Posay Spring Thermal Water. Then, I top it all off with the Belief True Cream Moisturizing Bomb. This moisturizer feels like a water cloud upon my skin.
For a more in-depth look at my current skincare routine, take a look at the products and a breakdown of my steps below.
